1Red sign up: who can register, and why UK residents cannot

Opening an account at 1Red takes two short steps and an email confirmation — but only for adults who live in a country where 1Red is available. UK residents cannot register. This page explains the eligibility rules first, then the sign-up process for everyone else.

Who can register

Adults aged 18 or over (or older where the law requires it) who live outside the countries excluded by 1Red, do not already hold an account and are not self-excluded. 1Red also asks every player to check that online gambling is allowed where they live.

Why UK residents cannot

The United Kingdom is on 1Red's excluded-countries list. Registration details are compared with your ID and proof of address before a withdrawal, so an account opened from the UK — or with a location hidden by a VPN — would break the rules and could be closed, with the funds concerned withheld.

The two steps

1. Click SIGN UP on 1red.com.
2. Enter Email and Password, choose your currency and click NEXT.
3. Add your name, date of birth and phone number exactly as they appear on your ID.

Confirming your email

Open the confirmation message and confirm the address; check your spam folder if it does not arrive. The email address becomes your login.

Verification before a withdrawal

No documents are needed to sign up. Before the first withdrawal, and once deposits exceed €2,000 in total, you upload photo ID, a selfie holding it and a recent bank statement or utility bill. A decision follows within 24 hours; until then you can deposit up to €500 in total but not withdraw.
